AHLA's Letter of Support for S.J. Res. 12

HL

Last week, The House of Representatives passed H.J. Res. 37, which invalidates President Obama’s Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces Executive Order issued on July 13,2014. The Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces order, otherwise known as the blacklisting rule, would prohibit contractors from providing services to federal agencies based solely on accusations of wrongdoing under federal law. While AHLA supports the government contracting with responsible companies, the blacklisting rule strips businesses of their due-process rights while increasing costs for taxpayers.

The Senate is expected to vote on the companion bill in the coming days. Click here to view AHLA’s letter of support for S.J. Res. 12.
