Michael Garcia

Chief Information Officer

Michael is the Chief Information Officer at the Hongkong Shanghai Hotels encompassing technology leadership across the group's portfolio of businesses including the Peninsula Hotels, Peak Tram, The Repulse Bay apartments, Peninsula Merchandising, and others.

He currently leads a team focused on building a world-class guest experience through the use of intelligent platforms, data & analytics, and in-room technology.

Michael joined HSH is 2022 from a short stint at Galaxy Entertainment Group in Macau where he led technology delivery.

Prior to Galaxy, Michael was the CIO of Wall Street English, an adult English training company.

He began his career at General Electric where he served for 14 years across multiple business units living in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Michael resides in Hong Kong, is originally from the US and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Princeton University.
