Sunny Zhang

VP Data Governance and Analytics

Sunny is an experienced IT professional who has been working in the hospitality technology industry for over 20 years. He currently holds the position of Vice President of Data Governance and Analytics at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. In his current role, he focuses on driving data management and supporting the company to become an insight-driven organization.

Sunny's educational background includes an MBA and several certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, PMP, ISA, MCSE, MCDBA, CCNA, and ITIL Digital Leader. These certifications have helped him develop a strong technical background that has enabled him to excel in his various roles.

Prior to joining the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 2012 as a Regional Project Manager, Sunny had worked with other organizations such as Starwood Hotel Group and Galaxy Entertainment Group. During his time with these companies, he gained valuable experience and honed his skills in hospitality technology. Sunny was recently promoted to Vice President of Technology in 2020, where he was responsible for overseeing hotel IT operations and new project developments in the Asia region. Startnig in 2023, Sunny takes on the role of Vice President of Data Governance and Analytics.

Sunny was born in China and is fluent in both Mandarin and English. In his free time, he enjoys reading and hiking.
