
Ralph Posner
Chief Communications Officer
Ralph Posner serves as AHLA’s Chief Communications Officer. He brings more than 30 years of political and policy experience in the public and private sectors and across numerous industries.
Prior to joining AHLA, Ralph was a partner at Seven Letter, a leading, Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications firm. In addition to designing and executing communications campaigns on behalf of his clients, Ralph led the agency’s Grassroots & Grasstops Practice. In this role, he managed Seven Letter’s 50-state field network of communications experts working to mobilize on-the-ground voices to advance clients’ interests.
Previously, Ralph was Executive Vice President at Direct Impact, a national grassroots agency and a wholly owned subsidiary of Burson. While there, he led numerous grasstops, grassroots and public affairs campaigns for a wide array of clients, including multinational corporations, industry associations, foreign governments and non-profit organizations.
Ralph also served as Partner and Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard, leading the agency’s public affairs group in Washington. During his 11 years with the firm, he applied his background in media relations, crisis communications, grassroots engagement and partnership development to advance his clients’ interests.
Ralph began his career on Capitol Hill, working for six years as a legislative assistant to both Senator Bill Bradley and Representative John LaFalce, advising on numerous policy issues.
Ralph is a native of New Jersey and graduated from the University of Rochester with degrees in Political Science and Economics.
